In 2010, the Digital Agenda for Europe, as one of the seven flagship initiatives of the Europe 2020 Strategy, set out the key role of Information and Communication Technologies in order for Europe to succeed in its ambition for 2020. The Digital Agenda refers among other topics to the need for deployment of IPv6 since the IANA pool have now announced that they have no more IPv4 addresses to distribute . mas
